German marine painter. S. went to sea and began in the 1950s as a self-taught marine painter. Soon he was able to sell to captains and shipowners. Since the 1970s, he also exhibited regularly, among others at the Museumsberg Flensburg and the Schiffahrtsmuseum Bremerhaven.
