Are you in possession of an exceptional piece that you would like to have valued according to the current market situation or where you are not sure whether it is a valuable object? Bequests, changes in collections, inheritances or household liquidations raise the question of whether the respective items are of interest to collectors and can be sold, and if so, at what price. Here you are at the right address, because valuing and appraising art and antiques is our daily passion.
With over 40 years of experience in the art and auction trade and as a publicly appointed and sworn auctioneer, Auktionshaus Stahl in Hamburg is your competent contact for the preparation of market-driven appraisals and expert opinions (about us). We will be happy to advise you on the valuation of your works of art and on all questions of epoch-specific classification.
Do you have an antique or an object of art that you would like to auction? Please come and see us during our opening hours. We will then make a free verbal assessment of the minimum prices for the presented objects for an auction. If you do not have the opportunity to come to us in person, we can also make an assessment on the basis of photos. For this purpose, we ask you to send us not only the photos but also additional information on size, signatures and condition. Of course, we will only make an appraisal for objects that are suitable for auction.
In the case of larger estates or collection liquidations, we will be happy to come to you and support you in sounding out and competently informing you on the basis of current market prices as well as replacement values.
The initial assessment and viewing of the collection or objects is always free of charge for you. We determine whether the objects are suitable for auction or private sale and estimate the minimum price.
Please feel free to send us your appraisal request by e-mail to:
Only separately commissioned written estimates and appraisals, which are carried out after a thorough examination of the art objects by our experts, are subject to a fee.
