Hélène de Beauvoir (Paris 1910 - Paris 2001) - Sell & Buy
French paintress, sister of Simone de Beauvoir. B. was taught painting among others at the Académie de la Grande Chaumiere and at the Académie Colarossi. She was introduced to the circle of Jean-Paul Sartre and also met Picasso, Dalí and Cocteau. Since the 1950s she developed a colourful style with the surface divided in crystalline elements.
