Possibly Thuringia, late 19th cent. White porcelain. With upright neck and opened beak in the moment of crowing, on a pedestal with sculptural flowers and a large fruit basket. The sculpture closely follows a model by J. J. Kaendler from 1732. Underglazed blue crossed swords mark with star and dot in the style of Meissen, incised model no. '1738'. Strongly rest. H. 77 cm. -
