Roger Chapelet as well as inscribed 'Elizabetha', framed under glass, uninspected out of frame. - Exhibition: One man show Roger Chapelet, Musée de la Marine, Paris, October to December 1993. - French marine painter. C. initially worked in the marine ministry. In 1927 he began to paint, in 1936 he was appointed official marine painter. During WW II a. thereafter he accompagnied numerous operations of the French marine.
