Late 19th cent. Cast metal, coloured, H. 48 cm, on the reverse sign. Strasser and Cairo. - Austrian sculptor, studied in Vienna and Paris. 1892 study tour to Egypt. Impressed by this he made portraits of Orientals, also approved and favoured by the Austrian Emperor House. For the world exhibition in 1900 he made the plastic of Marc Aures, today in front of the Secession House in Vienna. Member of the Vienna Secession.
