Röter, 1910", some rest. - It"s a vessel of the Hamburg shipping company OPDR. - Marine painter a. ship portrait painter, worked as sailer, stage designer a. restorer before settling in Antwerp where he soon became a sought after ship portrait painter, his works are considered to be among the best achievements of the genre before painted ship portraits were superseded by photography.
