1969 (designed). Bronze, polished to a shine. H. 82 cm, marble plinth: H. 2 cm. Signed Schumann, numbered copy 9/30. Minimal scratch marks. The artist came to the first artistic implementation of the motif around 1949. This was followed by casts made of black cement, onyx and marble as well as bronze editions in different sizes - Literature: M. Staak/S. Karrer/A. Wittboldt. Pierre Schumann. Salzburg, 2003, pp. 78f and 119 - German sculptor. Trained at the Hochschule f. Bildende Künste Hamburg under E. Scharff and at the Stuttgart Academy under O. Baum, 1954-1964 he stayed in Paris. Since 1955 he worked as a freelance artist in Hamburg in his studio at Lerchenfeld, 1974 he moved to Sagau-Kassedorf near Eutin, since 1964 he had another studio in Carrara. - Schumann created sculptures and wall designs, his preferred material was marble.
