1912. Oil/canvas. 95 x 152 cm. Lower right signed and dated Adolf Bock 1912, lower left inscribed. Restored, relined. - German Marine and veduta painter. B. was pupil of H. Bohrdt, thereafter he studied at the Berlin academy with a scholarship granted by the emperor. Since 1919 he lived and worked in Finland. He was among the few surviving passengers of the shipwreck of the Wilhelm Gustloff in 1945. Mus.: Berlin, Stockholm. Lit.: Vollmer.
