1881. Oil/canvas. 25,5 x 33 cm. Lo. ri. sign. and dat. Heinr. Buntzen 1881. Relined to the margins. - German-Danish landscape painter. After lessons with the Bünsow brothers, B. continued his education autodidactically. He then studied at the Copenhagen Academy under L. Lund and J. P. Möller. In his early paintings he followed Eckersberg's example. Study trips took him to Dresden, Munich and Rome. From 1863 he was a professor at the Copenhagen Academy.
