Nay 63, lo. le. num. 54/150, unframed. - Literature: Cat. rais.: Gabler 68. - One of the most important German painters and graphic artists of post-war art. N. studied 1924-28 as master student of K. Hofer at the Berlin academy. In 1931 he was awarded the Villa Massimo prize. He also travelled Paris and Norway, where he met E. Munch. N. lived to see himself to be considered as one of the leading artists of his time; among others his works were showcased at the Documenta I through III. Mus.: Cologne (Mus.
