Painter, graphic artist, architect and stage designer. D. studied at the Dresden academy under G. Kühl. He was co-founder of the Hamburg secession in 1919 a. worked for the expressionist journal 'Der Krakehler'. From 1927 to 1932 he worked as stage designer for the Hamburg theatre.
