German paintress and graphic artist. S. studied in Düsseldorf, Hagen, Hannover and Worpswede, where she collaborated with Bernhard Hoetger. S. was member of the Werkbund as well as the Novembergruppe. She exhibited in the Folkwang-Museum Hagen, in the Galerie Flechtheim in Berlin and in New York. In 1933 she emigrated to South Africa.
