German painter of Lithuanian origin. M. first studied in Trier from 1959, then at the Munich Academy until 1968. For many years she worked as a costume and stage designer in Germany, Sweden and England. Her paintings, painted in the manner of the old masters, depict surreal, apocalyptic motifs of her present day.
