Hermanus Koekkoek (Middelburg 1815 - Haarlem 1882) - Sell & Buy
Dutch marine and landscape painter from a family of artists. Trained by his father J. H. Koekkoek, K. became a member of the Amsterdam Academy in 1840. In 1875 he was awarded the gold medal of the artists' association 'Arti et Amicitiae'. Mus.: Karlsruhe (Kunsthalle), Glasgow, Sheffield, Brussels. Lit.: Thieme-Becker, Bénézit, Scheen.
