Josef Moest (Köln 1873 - Rath/Heumar 1914) - Sell & Buy
J. Moest was the son of the Cologne sculptor and restorer Richard Moest and received his training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Syrius Eberle. There he received his first impressions of modern sculpture influenced by Art Nouveau. From 1903 he worked as a freelance sculptor in his own studio in Cologne, creating small sculptures, fountains and altars as well as architectural sculptures in collaboration with various architects.
