Friedrich Adolf Hornemann (Hannover 1813 - Düsseldorf 1890) - Sell & Buy
German figure painter from a family of artists. H. studied 1832-37 at the Munich Academy, among others with J. Schnorr von Carolsfeld. After stations in Hamburg and Paris, he settled in Düsseldorf in 1867. In 1861 he became an honorary member of the St. Petersburg Academy. Mus.: Hamburg (Kunsthalle), Rostock, Lübeck a. others.
