Eduardo Chillida (San Sebastián 1924 - San Sebastián 2002) - Sell & Buy
Spanish artist, one of the most important sculptors of the 20th century. C. studied architecture in Madrid from 1943-46, then painting, and moved to Paris in 1948. In 1951 he settled in Hernani in the Basque Country as a freelance sculptor. His largely monumental sculptures were shown several times at Documenta and at countless solo exhibitions. His figure 'Berlin' stands in front of the Federal Chancellery. Mus.: Berlin (Nat.-Gal.), London (Tate), New York (Metrop.
