Albert Graefle (Freiburg/Br. 1807 - München 1889) - Sell & Buy
German portrait, figure and history painter. G. studied at the Munich Academy under Schnorr von Carolsfeld and P. Cornelius. His work in the studio of F. X. Winterhalter in Paris in 1840-45 had a significant influence on his style. After a period in Alsace and Paris, he established himself as a leading potrait painter in Munich from 1852.
