Spanish landscape and figure painter. A. was initially taught painting in the studio of M. Moreno before he studied at the Madrid and Barcelona academies. Financially independent thanky to a heritage he travelled Europe. His townscapes of Toledo reminding of Spitzweg were especially popular in Germany. Mus.: Madrid (Prado), Toledo, Cadiz, Zaragoza.
