Norwegian figure painter. L. studied 1852-58 at the Düsseldorf academy under K. Sohn a. A. Tidemand. He lived in Düsseldorf until 1880 a. exhibited there regularly. He was member of the artist's group 'Malkasten'. Mus.: Oslo (Nat. Gall.), Stockholm (Nat. Mus.), Bergen. Lit.: Thieme-Becker, Bénézit.
