Polish landscape painter. B. studied 1866-68 at the Warsaw academy under Chr. Breslauer, thereafter at the Munich academy, among others under A. Lier. In 1877 a. 78 he worked in Paris a. Algier, in 1888 he settled in Warsaw. B. travelled extensively, mainly in Eastern Europe. Mus.: Warsaw, St. Gallen, Bytom a. others. Lit.: AKL, Thieme-Becker, Vollmer.
