German painter. H. studied at the Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften in Hamburg from 1986 - 1991. In 1991 he was awarded the Xaver Fuhr prize. Beautifully graceful female figures in Kimonos, constructed through light and poignant brushstrokes, form the recurring theme of his work. The artist lives and works in Hamburg and Hitzacker an der Elbe.
