German photographer. L. studied photography in Hamburg 1980-88, thereafter until 1995 in Düsseldorf under M. Lüpertz. He carried out photo projects all over the world, among others in Paris, New York a. Cape Town. His sitters are always wearing black clothes in front of a black background. They are not allowed to smile so that nothing distracts from the face. The artist lives in Berlin.
