Belgian history a. figure painter. B. studied at the Antwerp academy, in 1878 he worked in the studio of A. Stevens in Paris. In his early career he painted historical subjects, later he turned to depictions of the fashionable life of the Fin-de-Siècle. Mus.: Antwerp, Brussels a. others.
