History a. still life painter, after beeing trained by the sculptor V. Tilgner he studied at the Vienna a. since 1878 at the Munich academy where he was greatly influenced by F. v. Lenbach a. F. Kaulbach, sponsored by M. Munkáczy he went to Paris in 1885, back in Munich he established his studio in the former country house of Cosmas Damian Asam in Maria Einsiedel, he was repeatedly decorated at international exhibitions.
