Landscape, portrait, and still-life painter. W.-C. studied at the School of Applied Arts in Hamburg and learned graphic techniques under F. Behnke. She continued her studies with L. Corinth in Berlin and in Paris. She was a member of the Hamburg Artists’ Association and participated in group exhibitions with, among others, P. Modersohn-Becker and Clara Westhoff-Rilke, as well as at the Haus der Kunst in Munich. In 1937, one of her paintings was confiscated in Kiel as 'degenerate'.
