Hubert Salentin (Zülpich 1822 - Düsseldorf 1910) - Sell & Buy
German figure and history painter. S. learned the profession of nail smith. In 1845 he began self-taught painting. After drawing lessons in Cologne, he studied at the Düsseldorf Academy from 1849, and from 1853-56 he was a master student of W. Schadow. In 1901 he received the title of professor in Düsseldorf.
