Photograph, 24 x 18 cm, on the reverse inscribed 'Nachlaß László Moholy-Nagy' and 'einmalige Auflage für die Griffelkunst 1995', unframed. - Designer, photographer and film maker, one of the most important Bauhaus teachers. In 1923 M.-N. followed J. Itten as Bauhaus teacher. In 1934 he emigrated to the USA and founded the 'New Bauhaus' in Chicago, today 'Institut of Design'. Lit.: Vollmer a. others.
