S. studied 195458 history at Princeton but also took painting lessons. He began with intregrating elements of totalitarian iconography to his paintings as well as with irregularly and three-dimensionally shaped paintings. Later he also made sculptures and assemblages. He had many exhibitions, among others at the Documenta 1968.
