Ca. mid 4th cent. B.C. Terrakotta. The obverse with an offering scene depicting Dionysios with his thyrsus and oil jug, accompanied by a satyr and a maenad. The reverse with three draped youths under discussion, two of them carrrying a long staff. Meander frieze, a laurel wreath below the rim, palmettes with scrolling tendrils. Small chips, painting partially renewed. H. 38,5 cm, diam. 39 cm. - Provenance: Since the 1980s in a private collection, Northern Germany. -
