Paris, 19th cent. Porcelaine manufacture Fürstenberg, end 18th cent. Porcelain case with Parisian bronze mounting. The Louis-Seize lidded vase with fine Sepia painting of allegories 'Justitia' and 'Ceres' on rose fond, golden ornaments and friezes, plinth in multicoloured marble painting. Bronze, gilded and engraved. Two dial rings with enamel cushions, black roman and arab. numerals, snake's tongue as hand. Count wheel striking mechanism (striking mechanism defect), echappement with anchor escapement, compensation balance. Bottom on Brass plate marked 'Bointaburet a Paris‘, Parisian goldsmith, manufacturer est. 1873. H. with cover 43 cm, w. 16 cm, d. 16 cm. - Provenance: Private Collection Hamburg. -
