France, around 1870/80. Gilded bronze, engraved, polished, brass. On three sides Sèvres porcelain plates, rose coloured with flowers and golden ornaments, dial with golden hands, roman numerals and Sepia painting of a femal allegory of poetry, small enamel spheres in gold coloure, white and turquoise (plates inside in writing labelled 'Cariatide Rosé Requiem' and numb. 574).
