Sino-Tibetan, 17th/18th cent. Firegilt copper, executed in four parts. The gilt sculpture is depicting a Tibetan lama, seated in vajrasana on an oval lotos base with his right hand in 'vitarka mudra' while the left rests on his lap, clad in a richly decorated monastic garb and his face displaying a serene expression. Half-round, stepped base with rich ornamental decor. Min. chipped. Overall height 50 cm. - Provenance: For circa 30 years in private collection, Lower Saxony. -
