Meissen, designed 1784, made around 1860. Porcelain, polychrome paint. Depicting Amity in personification of a woman in classical dress and Amor holding a flower garland besides the sacrificial altar. The scene is probably based on F. Boucher. Model no. 'H 18'. Crossed swords mark. H. 37 cm. - Since 1768 trained in the Meissen manufactory he became since 1774 the closest collaborator of J.J. Kaendler. He created et al. classicistic figures based on the model of sculptures in the Dresdner Antikensammung and on plaster casts of the Mengs'sche Abgußsammlung.
