Sign. to the top side of the plinth 'Fritz Heinemann', foundry mark: 'Aktien Gesellschaft Gladenbeck Berlin-Friedrichshagen'. Sword's nose chipped. H. 32,5 cm. - A Berlin sculptor. Educated in Nuremberg, studied until 1889 at the Berlin Academy under Albert Wolff and Fritz Schaper and later taught at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Berlin. Lit.: Thieme/Becker, Vollmer, AKL Saur.
