Oil and tempera/cardboard, 70 x 100 cm, lo. ri. signed, dated and inscribed Jalta seen from the eastern hills by Alwin Blaue Lütjensee 1944. - German painter, graphic artist and sculptor. B. studied at the Hamburger Kunstgewerbeschule under Bossard and Luksch from 1919-24, later he worked for the Kieler Kunst-Keramik AG. He is known today for his sculptural work in Kiel. From 1943 to 1944 he was installed as a war painter in Ukraine and Crimea. Most of the artistic work of this period has been lost due to the war. Lit.: AKL, Vollmer, U.
