Designed 1958, made soon after by Vitra. Swivel, without arms. Four-star base in die-cast aluminium, backrest and seat in black Hopsak. Manufacturer's label to the underside. Traces of usage. H. 83,5 cm, w. 50 cm. - The Aluminium Chair is one of the great furniture designs of the twentieth century. Charles and Ray Eames originally designed it in 1958 for the private residence of an art collector in Columbus, Indiana (USA).
