Oil/canvas, 64 x 74 cm, relined. - Provenance: Auction Dorotheum, Vienna, 13th October 2010, lot 551; privat collection Belgium. - Italian animal a. still life painter. C. was taught painting in the studio of his father, who was specialized in the same genre. Since 1733 he worked in Savoy where he was involved in the decoration of a hunting lodge designed by F. Juvarra. C.s paintings were very popular among the Milan upper class.
