Enrico Franco van Lint de Studio Ft Roma 1742, relined. - Embedded in an ideal Southern landscape is the Papal Summer's Residence Castel Gandolfo. - Flemish artist, one of the leading landscape painters of his time. L. was taught painting in the studio of P. van Bredael since 1696. Before 1700 he settled in Rome, where he spent the rest of his life a. temporarily worked in the studio of G. van Wittel. He joined the Dutch artist's group of the Bentveughels a. was given the artist's name 'Studio'. L. not only worked for the Roman aristocray but also for the European travellers who visited the town on their Grand Tour.
