H. 22,5 cm. - The sculpture made as an unique in the lost wax casting technique, belongs to a series of Red Guards reflecting the artist's personal experience as a young Red Guard during the Cultural Revolution in China. - Provenance: Plum Blossoms Gallery, Hong Kong, China; Christie's Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) , 25 November .2012, lot 629; Private collection Hong Kong; then by inheritance private collection Hamburg. - A Chinese contemporary sculptress. As one of a few women Shuo studied sculpture between 1978 - 1982 at the Central Academy of Arts and Design in Beijing. After her studies under Prof. Zheng Ke and a post-graduate degree she won a scholarship to a university in Austria in 1989 and emigrated to Klagenfurt, where she established her own studio. Since then many exhibitions at home and abroad.
