C. studied at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute until 1989. He started with paintings of well-known Chinese building being submerged in a grey flood, alluding to the destruction of nature. Usually limited in colour a. hieratic in composition his subjects are sometimes counterbalanced by humorous details.
