Berlin, KPM, midth 19th cent. A large antique vase on a base, with branch-shaped handles and rich gilding. On the face side a large rectangular reserve with the garden view of the 'Neues Palais' in Potsdam. Sceptre and Pfennig-mark. Min. prof. rest., mount slightly loose. H. 43,5 cm. - The vase refers to the magnificent KPM vases of the first half 19 th cent. depicting Prussian castles or topographical views of Berlin. The motif based on a depiction by Carl Daniel Freydancks (Comp.: Baer, Carl Daniel Freydanck 1811-1887, Ein Vedutenmaler der KPM, Berlin 1987).
