Meissen, around 1735. In the centre a dragon-like animal with wings around a bamboo in combination with peonies and a crane-like fantasy bird. The border with flower twigs and strewing flowers. Crossed swords mark, former's mark for Müller oder Seidel. Prof. rest. Dm. 34,5 cm. - The motif is rarely seen. A large plate with smooth rim (diam. 38,6 cm) from the Slyke collection has been sold most recently in New York (Sotheby's, 26.9.1989, Lot 17). - Literature: See cat.
