Probably before 1915, pen a. ink drawing, 16,5 x 21 cm, lo. le. sign. Harold T. Bengen, matted a. framed under glass, uninspecetd out of frame. - Painter a. draughtsman. B. studied at the 'Kunstgewerbeschule Weimar' with Frithjof Smith-Hald as well as in Graz. He became best known for his paintings from the island of Hiddensee, which he visited since 1905. B. was a cofounder of the artists group 'Neue Sezession 1910'. Until 1914 he often signed his works 'Harold T. Bengen', refering to the british name of his mother, Tronson. Since 1920 he was professor at the school of arts a. crafts in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
