Oil/artist's board, 24,5 x 32 cm, lo. le. sign. E. Lindemann. - Polish painter. L. studied at the Warsaw under W. Gerson academy until 1887, thereafter he worked in the studio of J. Mateiko in Kraków. In 1890 he studied at the Paris academy under W. Bouguereau as well as at the Académie Colarossi under R. Collin. He lived in Italy a. St. Petersburg before returning to Warsaw in 1897. L. also painted frescoes a. illustrations. He exhibited in Europe as well as in the United States.
