After his apprenticeship as a wood sculptor in Regensburg K. studied at the Stuttgart Art Academy, since 1910 he had his own workshop in Hamburg and belongs to the circle of the Hamburg Secession. Between the 1920s K. created many architectural scculptures in Hamburg, besides he created portrait busts, small bronzes, wooden sculptures and animal bronzes.
