On marble base with lable 'Bitter'. - Literature: Bryan Catley, Art Deco and other Figures, 2003, p. 39. - French Artist, famous for his animal sculptures. Exhibited betwenn 1910 and 1939 regulary on the Salon des Artistes Francais, where he won medals for several times. His most famous works include sculptures by young women with deer and bookends with elephant and panther figures.
