Hamburg, 1965. Bronze with brown-green patina, h. 43,5 cm, on the base monogrammed and dated 'fl 1965'. - The blocky simplicitiy of the standing youth nude is a characteristic of Fleer's sculptural form. 1966 he realised the standing youth as monumental sculpture in the public space (subway-station 'Rauhes Haus', Hamburg). - Northern German sculptor and graphic artist, studied at the National Art School in Hamburg by Edwin Scharff, study tours to Denmark, Italy, Yugoslavia, Greece, USA, China and Kenya, received the Edwin Scharff Prize in 1966.
