Probably Frankenthal. Around 1770. Polychrom painted porcelain, profiled and gilded copper mount with striae. On the lid, in very delicate dot painting, Pallas Athene as an allegorie of the science sitting on a cloud-shape cushion, the bottom with a motif of a ruin. On the inside of the cover very delicately painted riverscape with horse-drawn carriage and obelisk. Unmarked. Min. scratches.
